CapnoLearning is about behaviour modification, based on the behavioural analysis of breathing.  It includes the following:

Education: misconceptions about breathing, misinterpretations of personal behaviour
Applied behavioural analysis: partnering in self-discovery learning
Negative practice:  practicing bad habits for learning good ones
Desensitisation: extinction of classically conditioned emotions

Extinction: removing reinforcements for counterproductive breathing mechanics

Awareness training: becoming aware of the brainstem reflex

Exposure training: intentional overbreathing and learning about its effects

Reciprocal inhibition: relaxation training for blocking unwanted emotions
Cognitive restructuring:  learning new self-talk, new interpretations of experience
PCO2 feedback training: learning new responses to symptoms of hypocapnia
Operant learning: teaching new behaviours, new habits in old situations, generalisation
Stimulus control (SD and CS): inside-dependent vs. outside-dependent learning

Stimulus generalisation: learning good breathing under diverse circumstances
State-dependent learning: developing new behavioural patterns, senses of self
Classical conditioning: embracement physiology instead of fight-flight physiology
Mental Rehearsal: learning through imagination, imagery, hypnosis
Role-playing: learning through simulating challenging circumstances
In vivo challenges: learning in the field while encountering real life challenges
Short-term solutions: short-circuiting vicious circle behaviour during crisis
