BREATHING WELL PTY LIMITED
Breathing Well Pty Limited is an educational services organisation, committed to helping people learn good breathing behaviour. Good breathing behaviour means proper allocation of carbon dioxide, without which people may suffer short-term and long-term symptoms and deficits of all kinds, effects inevitably, unwittingly, and unfortunately attributed to unrelated factors.
“Hypocapnia” is a physiological state, a carbon dioxide (CO2) deficit brought on by ventilating off too much of this precious gas, a gas essential to proper regulation of body chemistry, including pH, electrolyte balance, and blood distribution. Breathing out too much CO2, by breathing too deeply and/or rapidly, may be reflexive (e.g., metabolic disturbances) and/or learned, as are all maladaptive behaviours. Our sole objective is to assist people in learning behavioural solutions to learned hypocapnia.
Breathing Well Pty Limited offers its clients CapnoLearning™ programs (packages) which are about learning, modifying, replacing, and unlearning breathing behaviours based on principles drawn from the behavioural sciences, specifically behavioural analysis, behaviour modification, cognitive learning, awareness training, and biofeedback.
The word “breathe” in Japanese consists of two pictures: heart and self. This speaks well to the vision of Breathing Well Pty Limited. Good breathing is the bringing together of heart and self, where emphasis is on “embracement” rather than “fight-flight” physiology. This means inside-out learning where YOU change YOUR breathing behaviour through presence for your physiology, rather than outside-in learning where you manipulate breathing physiology through prescriptive exercises. The philosophical context for the implementation of CapnoLearning™ principles is deep respect for learning as a fundamental life process, the intelligence of physiology in all of its forms. |
